On October 28, 2020 TuGo’s COVID-19 Insurance will be available to all partners and on TuGo sales platforms. It’s a new plan available to Canadians travelling abroad to countries designated by the Government of Canada with a Level 3 travel advisory (avoid non-essential travel) in place.

Coverage will be provided for COVID-19 medical and quarantine related expenses, up to a maximum of $500,000 per insured traveller, along with a supplementary Trip Interruption benefit.

Coverage Eligibility 
To be eligible, COVID-19 coverage must be sold in conjunction with a TuGo worldwide or worldwide excluding USA emergency medical plan. The medical coverage must be in place for the entire duration of the COVID-19 coverage. 

• Can be purchased alongside a new emergency medical plan, or on its own to supplement an existing one. 
• Available as a single trip plan, so multi-trip annual policyholders will have to purchase a COVID-19 plan for each trip they take. 
• Can be sold post-departure, for travellers who have already left or are scheduled to leave prior to October 28th, subject to health and claim status.  
• There are no limits for age or trip length. 

Coverage Rates 
Rates are available for travel to the USA or travel worldwide excluding the USA, which follows TuGo’s travel medical pricing structure.
