Rules for issuing 2016 policies

Recently, you received details about conditional insurance agreements (CIA) being available to help secure 2016 life insurance products. As Jan.1, 2017 quickly approaches, there’s additional information that’s important for you to know.

Insurers may use a temporary insurance agreement (TIA) or a conditional insurance agreement (CIA) to put coverage in place in 2016 while allowing us to continue medical underwriting into 2017 and consider the policy as issued in 2016.
