SunWise Essential Series 2 new point of sale disclosure documents

CI Investments and Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada are pleased to introduce the updated point of sale disclosure documents that must be provided to clients. They include Application Forms, Information Folder and Individual Variable Annuity Contract and Fund Facts. There are no changes to the product features or changes to the SunWise Essential 2 Series fund line-up.  Impacted funds will undergo a name change as a result of MFS Investments harmonizing its brand following the acquisition of McLean Budden Limited.

SunWise Essential Series 2 continues to offer two classes with different guarantees, allowing you and your clients to customize a solution that effectively meets their individual needs for investing, retirement and estate planning:

Effective immediately, all clients who purchase a new SunWise Essential Series 2 contract must be provided with the new SunWise Essential 2 Information Folder and Individual Variable Annuity Contract and Fund Facts dated January 2015. Please destroy all SunWise Essential Series 2 point of sale disclosure documents dated October 2013.

To assist with the transition, the current October 2013 applications will be accepted to establish new contracts until March 6, 2015. After this date, only the January 2015 application will be accepted.
