The Vancouver Island Chapter is proud to offer the Advocis Practice Development series, focusing on skills and knowledge that newer advisors need to be successful. The modules are delivered in two parts by experienced advisors who will facilitate the workshops and mentor the participants.

Module Two: Marketing

As you build your business, additional tasks need to be undertaken to ensure the continuity of the business and its continuous growth. In this module you will learn:

  1. Define your value proposition using a two-step process.
  2. Craft an effective elevator speech you can use when meeting a targeted prospective client.
  3. Create a personal biography that showcases your strengths and expertise.
  4. Enhance your professional image, including a comprehensive view of your personal presence, workplace and communications.
  • We will also discuss how to market yourselves during a pandemic
