Spring into Ambition with the Advocis Book Club!

As the spring is sprung, our thoughts turn to new goals for the year ahead - and the perseverance and drive we'll need to reach them. This is why our next title in the Advocis Book Club is Unapologetically Ambitious: Take Risks, Break Barriers, and Create Success on Your Own Terms by Shellye Archambeau.

In this inspiring book, Archambeau details how she overcame the challenges she faced as a Black woman, balancing her personal and professional responsibilities while climbing the ranks of tech companies throughout Silicon Valley. In doing so, she learned that ambition alone is not enough to succeed - and discovered the practical tools and strategies that readers can use to pursue their own ambitions as well.

How Does it Work?

The Advocis Book Club is hosted virtually in a private online forum where members can connect to discuss the current book and network with each other.

The group will spend two months on each book, so you'll have plenty of time to read! The club also focuses on business-related titles that are a good match for our financial advisor community.

Who Manages the Club?

The Advocis Book Club is managed by PBC Guru.

PBC Guru manages professional book clubs for companies and members of professional societies, and are moderating the group to help make this program a great experience for all participants.

Staff from Advocis are participating and assisting with moderation as well. As a member, all you need to do is show up and enjoy!
