Promotion change effective June 18, 2019

Hello and thank you for the outstanding response to our 3.25%* Advantage Account national interest rate offer. New deposits and account openings have already exceeded our forecasts! To ensure we can continue making this offer widely available to Canadians, we are making following change:

Effective June 18, we are reducing the maximum balance of new deposits eligible for the promotional interest rate to $100,000. This change applies to new accounts opened on or after June 18; clients who’ve opened an account earlier in the campaign are not impacted.

The 3.25% promotional interest rate (for the first six months after account opening), and all other terms and conditions, remain unchanged.

Details and sales tools are available on Repsource. Please ensure you use refreshed marketing materials if you are promoting the account. If you are using online applications, your customized promotional URL will automatically adjust to reflect the revised offer.

* The 3.25% promotional rate is for a new personal, non-registered, Canadian‑dollar Advantage Account. The promotional interest rate is made up of the regular posted annual variable interest rate of 1.50% and the variable annual promotional rate of 1.75%. Interest is calculated daily and paid monthly on net new deposits for the first 182 days (6 months) after account opening to a maximum of $100,000. Any change to the regular interest rate will result in a corresponding change to the promotional interest rate.
