Hello, A strike may soon affect Canada Post services. To help minimize any impact to you and your clients, here’s what you need to know. According to the latest updates, disruptions could begin as early as this week. To help avoid delays and maintain service continuity, we recommend the following: Prioritize transactions using our electronic tools Online transactions: We encourage you to submit your transactions electronically whenever possible for faster processing. - Individual Insurance: Use the Electronic Application or our PDF forms, which you can email to us as usual.
- Savings and Investments: Complete your transactions through Mobile Office or our PDF forms. You can send the PDFs via the «Write to Us» feature available on the Advisor Centre to ensure data security.
Online resources for advisors Electronic services for clients: When available, encourage your clients to use the Client Centre, direct deposit, and email to simplify their processes. - The Client Center provides access to life insurance statements, as well as the ability to view savings and investment statements and transactions.
Document delivery and claims payments If a 72-hour notice of a strike or lockout is issued, Beneva will pause postal mailings. Documents will be held until the strike or lockout ends, or until it’s confirmed that no strike will occur. We will inform you as soon as Canada Post deliveries can resume. Workaround methods are in place for certain exceptions: - Claim checks: Claim payments may be sent via an alternative courier service.
- Mail sent via other services: These will continue to be processed as usual.
- Alternative mailing options: Additional courier services may be available for specific document types.
